Three types of cooper casting Die casting is a high pressure metal casting process that forces molten metal into a mold. It produces dimensionally accurate precision metal parts that have a flawless smooth finish. Its ability to produce detailed parts makes it perfect for the mass production of products. Die castings are made from non-ferrous metals such as zinc, copper, aluminum, magnesium, lead, pewter, and tin. Lost-wax process, also called cire-perdue, method of metal casting in which a molten metal is poured into a mold that has been created by means of a wax model. Once the mold is made, the wax model is melted and drained away. A hollow core can be effected by the introduction of a heat-proof core that prevents the molten metal from totally filling the mold. Green sand casting : This technique involves forming a single-use mold from a sand aggregate and pouring molten brass into that mold. The process works well thanks to green sand's ability to withstand extremely high temperatures. What is brass forgings ? Forging is a manufacturing process involving the shaping of a metal through hammering, pressing, or rolling. These compressive forces are delivered with a hammer or die. Forging is often categorized according to the temperature at which it is performed-cold, warm, or hot forging.
